Help a Child Feel Safe Again and Get Back to Learning
From Ruins to Resllience: Urgent Appeal for the Earthquake Survivors in Southern Mindanao

Earthquake Impact in Southern Mindanao

Deaths
Because the disaster coincided with the opening of classes, children have had their sense of safety and routine shattered. Displaced families currently face limited privacy, inadequate toilet facilities, and dwindling food and water supplies, which significantly increases protection risks for children and vulnerable groups.
How Your Donations Help
GOAL: Launch a 4-Month Integrated Child-Centered Recovery Plan
Your support will reach children, families, schools, and communities affected in Tupi, South Cotabato and Malapatan, Sarangani through a child-centered response focused on psychosocial support and education continuity.
ChildFund Philippines, in partnership with the Hauman Association, Inc., is already on the ground in the hardest-hit areas of Tupi, South Cotabato and Malapatan, Sarangani. We have already reached 100 children and adults with initial Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) and Psychological First Aid (PFA), using drawing and storytelling to help them process trauma. We are now ready to scale this child-centered response to reach 1,500 children and 20 schools.
Mental Health and Pyschosocial Support for Children and Caregivers
Help provide immediate emotional and practical support to 4000 children and adults—helping them feel safe, calm, and connected, while enabling them to cope and linking them to further care if needed.
