ChildFund Philippines officially signed a partnership agreement with the Department of Education (DepEd) on March 28, aiming to support inclusive, learner-centered education in public schools across the country.
The agreement focuses on improving learning environments, enhancing child protection, and promoting teaching approaches that respond to the needs of every learner. The signing was attended by ChildFund Philippines Country Director Anand Vishwakarma, Education Specialist Marlene Floresca, and Partnership Portfolio Manager Jorge Sabiña. Representing DepEd were Secretary Sonny Angara, Assistant Secretary Georgina Yang, and Assistant Secretary Cilette Co.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to ensuring all children have access to meaningful education and safe spaces for learning and development.
ChildFund Philippines emphasized that strong, long-term collaboration with government institutions like DepEd is essential to advancing education reforms and supporting children’s overall growth.
This initiative builds on ChildFund’s broader efforts to create school environments that are not only effective in teaching, but also responsive to the realities of Filipino learners.
